Recently I decided to upgrade my PC's RAM, CPU, and graphics card. My current mobo is an Asus P5L-VM 1394.
The CPU I put in is an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53. I put 4 gigs of RAM into it, and it only recognizes 3 gb. The graphics card is a Nvidia 8800 GTS. Now, when I boot up the computer I get a: Intel CPU uCode Loading Error Overclocking or Overvoltage Failed Press F1 to run set up F2 to continue Pressing F2 allows it to boot up like normal and everything runs fine, even while playing games. So I turn off the computer, and the screen stays blank, and all the fans continue to run. At this point I have to manually turn it off. Same thing happens when turning it on, except I get the error. My BIOS are updated, so that's not the issue. I checked my voltages, and the monitor has them higher than the previous voltage settings. The voltages are as follows VCORE - 1.168v 3.3v - 3.36v 5v - 5.14v 12v - 12.619v These voltages are slightly higher than the previous CPU's. I'm curious to see if underclocking could fix that, but I can't manually change the voltage settings. BIOS won't allow me too. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -JS |
