Mostly on the heatsink directly above the CPU socket, side one wasn't as bad. Had my X1900XTX cooler sitting around so I took those thermal pads and cut them in half, bit of a snug fit so they had good pressure, worked great.
It had a very slight squeal, had to put my ear right up to the MOSFET sinks to hear a little something.
