Temps are way to high, either there is no thermal paste between the CPU and the cooler, not correct mounted, fan is not spinning or vcore is way to high.
It seems like you are at bus 400, core 2400, right, but what is your core volt? Are the CPU fan spinning at all, also check how is it set in the bios, "Power" tab, CPU Q-Fan Control, is it Disabled or Enabled and if Enabled how is the CPU Fan Profile set, Standard, Silent or Turbo. Have you built it yourself or have you bought it in a shop, if bought in a shop a recommend you to go back a let them fix it, set it back to default before you hand it back though. But if you want to try to dismounted the CPU cooler by yourself you have to take out the motherboard out of the case because itīs mounted with nuts behind the board and the pins are fixed in the bracket, sorry mate, feel for you. ![]() ![]() BTW, hereīs review of your CPU cooler by X-bit lab and hereīs a quote. "The new spherical cooler is not meant for overclocking and delivers average performance. Yet it is also clear that the Cooler Master Sphere is going to cope with any modern CPU working in its default mode. Enthusiasts who are into overclocking and want to have a product from Cooler Master should instead buy the twice cheaper Hyper TX" Sorry again mate, seem like you have to settle for default core speed (2,83GHz) or buy an other cooler.

Hold your horses, before you go out and buy a new cooler a recommend you to dismounted and replace thermal paste with the one you have and check how itīs setup in the bios.
Your default core speed on that Q9550 are 2,83GHz if Iīm not misstaken and get it to run 3,2GHz with a 400 bus @ default core volt (or slightly higher then default) should be possible with you Cooler Master Sphere after you have reseated your cooler. Run bus 400 core speed 3,2GHz and ram @ 1600 is a pretty decent OC and in the meantime you can do some research for a new cooler, you can start with this site. One cooler that I can recommed right now is this one, Thermalright Ultra Extreme (TRUE), okey, itīs big and rather expensive but itīs one of the best and you can use one or two 120mm fans on it. ![]() What you have to consider is that on the backside of the Rampage thereīs a big cap. I had a backplate from Xigmatek Crossbow together with my TRUE and it looked like this.
