Nice to here that you get a new board. Yes, R2E is a LGA 1366 for the i7, if the shop is willing to swoop you Q9550 for a i7 920 and your ram for some 3x2Gb 1600C7, go for the R2E, if not, well, now itīs getting tricky, thereīs not many good LGA 775 DDR3 board out there. The Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3P is a good DDR3 board, can get your Q9550 to FSB 500+ but have problem to get ram above 1700 but yours are 1600, so it shouldnīt be a problem. Thereīs also Asus P5E3, itīs not so good with quads around FSB 500 as the EP45T but itīs better with ram then both the RE and EP45T Hereīs an other option, swoop those DDR3 for some 2x2 DDR2 OCZ Blade Low Voltage PC-9600 (DDR2-1200MHz) and get a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P, this option can get you for example FSB 450 or 500 and ram @ 1200C5, pretty good for 24/7, get a quad to run FSB 500 are so easy on those Gigabyte boards. I have tried them both and I would go for the DDR2 option. When run Crossfire on those P45 you may lose a few fps compare to X48 but doubt if you gonna notice at all.

Just got my pc back from store. Finally they changed my mobo with the Asus p6t deluxe v2 and xpu changed to i7-920.Also they gave me 120 euros to spend to that pc store for the diference between old mobo and the new one and that they got my coolermaster sphere for 30 euros ^^.So i have the p6t deluxe now and the i7-920 with the stock cooler. Is it ok or no?I think i upgraded nit downgraded though.

.Seriuosly, sounds like a good deal, i7 is better when it comes down to DDR3 and that P6T isnīt bad at all. Stock cooler isnīt bad either if you consider what you had before and now you have time to do some research for a new cooler. How about the memory, did you get new ones or are you with the old ones?

Sorry Kavourdoukos but I doubt that those XMS can run DDR3-2000 on a i7 system, do you have some

I'd like to see that too. I will say however, that when I was playing around with my old G.Skill 1066 PI's, I clocked them to 1400MHz and they did it easily. I did clock my CPU back to below stock I must admit, but I had also just begun OCing. I memtested for an hour which was enough at the time. May have a screeny of it somewhere. I'm actually thinking of going back to them as they handle higher volts better, whereas the 1100's are fairly limited by comparison; not OCing modules by comparison; esp when the board natively OC's the RAM to 2.1v and the 1100's are rated at 1.9v Of course you adjust this; just makes me wonder if lower voltage RAM is actually better for OCing or more limited by their stock rating....
