@PostGhosties

Hi and welcome to OCN

Nice OC on that Q6600

I need 1,45 for my G0 @ 3,6 so your vcore isnīt that high and you should be able to reach something like 3,6 - 4,0 but you never know, I canīt go higher then 3,65 no matter what.

Just keep rise your FSB @ multi 9 to see how high you can get.

Your ram seems to be DDR3-1333 and it can hamper your OC but we have to see what your quad tops out at before we see if that is the case.

You can use this templet to show others what setting you use, that way it can be easier to help you OC.

Thank you for the warm welcome Ghostleader. I look forward to contributing to this thread.

I am having some difficulties with this site. Whenever i log in to reply to a post it say's "Thank you for logging in, PostGhosties". Then when it redirects me it takes me back to the login screen and says that i am not logged in. I had to log in 5 times now before i could reply to this thread. It happens with my Opera 10 beta2 and Internet Explorer 8.

Anyway, i dont have my settings at 3.6Ghz anymore because i pushed my FSB all the way up to 437 to get 3.95GHz. I cant go any higher than that becoz then i dont get POST. With my FSB @ 437 i get POST but as soon as Windows loading screen comes up my PC restarts? So hopefully we can get past that.

My BIOS settings for 3.95GHz are as follow...

Youīre welcome

We shall see if we can sort this out, 3,95GHz is pretty high but time will tell.

Go from 3,60 to 3,95 is a big step, have you just raised the FSB and then tested to see if you can boot into Windows or have you done any other kind of stability test?

What are your ram rated at, is it 1333 CAS9?

What ram speed do you run @ FSB 437?

Thereīs a lot of questions but first we have to have a stable OC base to start from and a quess from your previous post that FSB 400 3,6GHz is that base, what kind of stability do you have @ 3,60GHz, Prime95 small FFT, LinX/IBT or Super Pi 32M?

Oh yes, thereīs a lot of auto in your setup and itīs okey up to a certain level but then you have to set some of them values to manual.

@Bark

Hi and welcome to OCN

First of all, fill in your system spec , go to "User CP" top of the page, then "Edit System" under "System Information" to the right in "Your Control Panel".

That way itīs easier for others to help.

So, you want 3,6GHz, well it shouldnīt be to hard, you got quite a high ambient temp but thatīs the way itīs in Spain in the summer and your CPU temp is quite high as itīs at 2,4GHz and so is your NB temp, so we have to see what we can do.

What kind of case do you have, do you have a picture of the inside of it?

How many fans do you have on that Noctua?

What kind of ram do you run, make, speed, timing, you run ram @ 1066 but is they 1066 or higher?

Hereīs a suggestion to start with:

FSB Freq 400, CPU Ratio 8, CPU speed 3,2GHz, Ram @ 1066 8-9-9-24 2N

As this is a starting point some voltage value may need to be alter.
