Default Choosing between ASUS and GIGABYTE

Hi Guys,

JUst a quick one....I was interested in everyone's comments/suggestions regarding my next motherboard purchase.

I have an E2160 CPU and Supertalent 2x1GB 800Mhz RAM.

Currently I am using the Asrock 4Coredual-sata motherboard and wanted to upgrade the motherboard to get an overclock somewhere around the 3.2-3.4 Ghz range.

My 2 choices are:

ASUS P5K-PRO

or

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L

Which one should I go for???
Overclocking in mind!!!

Cheers!

I've never used a GIGABYTE mobo, though I've used other components from them.

I've used Asus boards for an eternity and never had one fail that I can recall.

Debatable, I've had more ASUS fail's than Gigabtyte fails. I've still got a Gigabyte DS4 running at a higher than stock voltage, with no problems at all.

Thanks for the replies...!!!

Got busy at work..

IM interested to know the ratio of actual failures (Gigabyte vs Asus)

I've seen/read comments for and against both manufacturers...

I know the P5K-Pro has 1394 and P35 doesn't..but I have a 1394 card anyway..so no big loss

I would like to know which one would be the better overclocker for the E2160 in particular.

I do like the Asus O.C profile feature though...

Either will be a good choice. But I would go Gigabyte. They are rock solid with the vdroop pencil mod. And very easy to OC.
