i'll be getting a Q6600 soon, and I need a new mobo that has a decent spot for the power connector and can get it to a high stable oc. It's been narrowed down to these three.
DFI P45 LP T2RS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136053 P5Q Deluxe: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131297 Gigabyte P45-DS3R: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128344 I dont plan on going sli/cf, so an x38/48 is out of the question.

why is x48 out of the question??? just because you dont plan on crossfire that doesnt mean you cant have an X48 my vote goes to this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128336 ive tested tons of quads and this is by far the best board ive ever used.

The P5Q deluxe is an awsome board, but you cant beat the price of the DS3R.
here is a P5Q-E - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131296 this board is more affordable than the deluxe open box - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813131296R edit: I see you said no open box

the DS3R looks good, but is it better than the deluxe and the DFI?

I'd go with the Gigabyte first out of those choices, then the DFI second. That DFI might be a good board as well, but it has got to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen.
