Well I should be getting my motherboard back tomorrow (If FedEx allows warehouse pickup) or Monday.

Again, can anyone have a quick look at the I/O shield for their P5Q and tell me if it has grounding tabs? I'm thinking that maybe that's what broke the audio I/O ports because I sort of remember pulling off some little metal tabs of something thinking they were left over from the manufacturing process...

Anyone got the bug where when overclocked, it will not POST/boot when the first memory strap is selected? I always have to go 2nd or higher (meaning my RAM is usually overclocked quite far!)

Hi guys i need a little advice.

I have a P5QL and a Q6600 running at 3.2GHz. Ive been aiming for 3.6, but i cant get it stable. There are so many setting on this board that i dont really understand!
Currently running at 400x8 (my memory limit is 400 its cheap DDR2-800). The VID is 1.3000. No vCore will stabilise at 3.6, but i have no idea really what the other settings do. My CPU is really cool running (hits 53c max under load) so i get the feeling it should be able to run at 3.6. Thanks.

Oh lord, my P5Q Deluxe will be going back for RMA. It won't stay stable at anything but stock, won't boot on the first memory strap when overclocked and i'm generally fed up with it.

However, Asus's website tells me to contact the reseller and not to send it back to them? Is this correct?

Well I got my e8500 24 hour OCCT stable at 4.256 Ghz @ 1.288 vcore after vdroop on my P5Q-E. OCCT load temp is 46*c. IntelBurnTest load temp is 56*c. My ram is also chugging along at 1076Mhz from 1000Mhz stock.

I haven't tried to push my cpu overclock any higher yet so I don't know what the limit of my chip is yet. This is my first time overclocking so I'm still learning. All I've changed in BIOS is was the fsb and vcore and turned off c1e and eist.

I'm loving this board.
