Cool, I'm sticking with 1703 too then.
__________________I still haven't figured out why my board is only reading 3GB of RAM. I tried re-seating the chips and everything looks good. I bought this RAM back when I had my Gateway and didn't realize that 32 bit XP wouldn't read 4 Gigs anyway, until I found out the hard way. So I never was reading 4 Gigs and I might just have a bad chip. I'll have to switch them out and see if one of them is bad. Right now, my board is reading slot 0 2 and 3. Which one is 0? The one closest to the processor or the one farthest? This way I can figure out which one is bad. Also, I noticed something really weird happen when 2 people were logged on at the same time. It seemed like the AI Nap was kicking in on my session and when I was logged onto my girl's session, it kept blacking out, then coming back on. I had to switch to my session and kill the AI nap, then go back to hers. It was weird and I don't know if anyone else here has experienced it.

I checked the PDF manual on ASUS' website and it shows the modules configured as A1/A2 closest to the CPU socket and B1/B2 closest to the ATX power connector. I would imaging that the first yellow slot closest to the CPU socket (channel A1) would be slot 0 showing in CPU-Z.
As far as the AI Nap stuff goes, I wish I could be more help. After my most re-installation of Windows, I chose not to re-install any of the ASUS utilities. I never used AI Suite or the EPU stuff as it would only run when not in OC mode (which my computer is always OC'd). PC Probe was okay but didn't tell me anything more than SpeedFan or Everest so I scrapped that as well. I like the ingenuity and thought behind their bundled motherboard software, but the implementation isnt all that practical in the long run. EDIT: If the board shows reading 0, 2 and 3 for the RAM, try swapping the sticks in the first two slots (one black and one yellow). See if the board will then only read slots 1, 2 and 3. If so, then the RAM stick is bad. If it still reads 0, 2 and 3 then you might have to RMA due to a bad RAM slot.

I gotta pull the fan out of the bottom of the case, it's annoying me and I want to install the wheels that came with the HAF since it seems like I'll be pulling it out a lot. Thanks again man and yea, the ASUS stuff is annoying, I think I'm going to uninstall it soon.

How does the P5Q pro do with DICE or LN2?
I've enjoyed reasonable E8400 air clocks with this board and a Zalman 9500, but I have a DICE pot coming for my i7 experiments and am tempted to do a suicide run on the E8400 first. Any chance this board can give some good DICE clocks WITHOUT modding the NB for subambient?

Good luck with the RAM. Hopefully it'll be a dead stick rather than a dead slot on the motherboard cuz I know RMA's can be a PITA.

The p5Q is definately a decent overclocking board, amazingly the first try was all I needed, upped the FSB to 400 and set the multi to 9x, got a nice stable 3.6 GHZ out of my E7400, temps at full load havent gone beyond 48C, could probably get 4.0 out of it =) the V8 does a decent job at keeping the CPU cool. ExpressGate should be standard on every MoBo!

Yea, I was messing around with the Express Gate the other day. That is the only ASUS utility that has any real value, IMO.
