Thanks for asking the question I was planning on asking MADMAX22 I just installed Vista x32 on mine as well, and ready to start OCing myself. I will be using a e8500 with 2x1gb stick of Crucial PC-8500.

Also which is better on finding your FSB with setting on auto or manually?
Are the settings below correct when OCing?

Seems to be a difficult, yet rewarding board to overclock.

my P5B would only do 3.3ghz on my Q6600 whereas this P5Q will do 3.6ghz stable

Why not get the 64 bit disk and install that? You wont be disappointed with the 64bit version.

Yeah agreed with the x64bit os. But I bought this Velocity Micro case on ebay with a FREE Vista Ultimate x32 disc OEM for $50.00 So I am planning on selling this setup with my Lancool K7 case in my sig on ebay. And yes the PSU cables in the picture will be sleeved. I had all of these computer parts laying around and all I needed was this board and 4850 card.

You can get a 64bit cd that matches your key if you have a retail version of vista. Its like $8 or something like that from MS to cover shipping

OK so what have you guys been running for NB volts when trying to get over 500fsb.

I can boot right up at 500fsb but I tried 520 which my ram and cpu can handle and I ran memtest first for 20min of test 5. However when it gets to windows it crashes and reboots. The NB volts I used were 1.22 for up to 500fsb, after that I tried up to 1.28 but still same effect.

I use ~1.4 (1.36v according to the BIOS) vNB for 450-475MHz FSB with a Quad and a 4:5 memory ratio at tRD/PL 8. For 500MHz, I need about 1.44-1.45v (1.4-1.42v BIOS) to keep the same PL/tRD of 8 at DDR-1200.

A dual, at a lower memory speed and worse tRD shouldn't take much for 500MHz FSB, but you still have a lot of headroom.

Do you guys know what the intel spec is for the P45 chipset. Is it the same 1.35v as for the P35 chipset.
