another question in regards to to BIOS settings. has anyone had better luck with disabling the cpu spread spectrum or enabling/disabling the other mem tweaking settings like clock twister?

Hi, i'm Barry Scott!

I disabled both spread spectrums and fiddled with some of the memory options. Here is what i used to get that illusive 3.6ghz

thanks alex, rep +. when i got home last night i changed my voltage settings so that gtl 1,3/0,2 were .67 (found out dual core should run straight 67%) and bumped my SB to 1.2v. Set the NB gtl to .67 and disabled cpu spread spectrum. 3.6GHz on 450FSB ran orthos stable for 10 hours before i stopped it.

I have a question on the Asus P5Q Pro board. Can I use a 4-pin CPU power connector or do I have to use a 8-pin?

I'm wondering if this is true.
Where would be the point? If you have load line calibration on is vdroop so or so. Ok, maybe nb and sb voltage is more accurate but we can't know tht without sensors...

I was playing 2 days ago with my OC and trying to lower temps and i ended up lowering my NB from 1.3 to 1.2 and my Vcore from 1.392 to 1.352 with my Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz. This Mb is amazing if you tweak it right. I think it has more room for tweaking.
