A great cooler that fits your budget perfectly.

If you are looking to get a little better performance, then a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme will suite you best.

4.00ghz easy.

Or

OCZ Vendetta 2 - Overall better than the Xigmatek, but will cost a little more.

A reviewer in the link even states he got his E8400 to 4.00ghz

Hows the TRUE compare to OCZ Gladiator Max? Found the TRUE w/o fan here for $59 and the OCZ is $52.

The OCZ Gladiator Max looks exactly like the OCZ Vendetta 2, except it has one more heatpipe than the Vendetta 2.

Since the price difference between the TRUE and the Gladiator Max is so small, I would just go for the TRUE because the performance is know.

I read a review showing that the gladiator max was worse than the vendetta 2.

I don't know how valid it is, but here you go
