I am still kicking the idea around.

I could do this.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45T-UD3P with an E8500 and TRUE and have fun with OC.
and more importantly be able to use all 4 gb of Ram.

Or

i7 920, Foxconn BloodRage and Only be able to use 3gb of Ram.


The Transcend memory I have are Different batches too, so it is possible that tri channel may be all the efficient.

Really the thing I am looking at now is How much Need do I really have of a Quad Core, and i7 Quad core with the 8 threads seems overkill and overly useless for me.

It would seem that majority of my games will only actively use 1 and 2 cores. Bulk of my Gaming being done in Warhammer Online, MMO with lots of action, would seem silly to me to do i7 if the Prcoessor itself may not be faster on the single and dual core level.

basically thinking here

wouldnt It be smarter, and less expensive, for me to just do a Fast Dual core or Q6700 with a DDR3 board and use all 4 gb of the 1600mhz ram? wouldnt the extra Gig of Ram be much better for my game of choice vs a Quadcore that thinks it has 8 cores?
