Got home today, and There it was..

2 Boxes of Memory, Came to me for purpose of Free Hardware testing!

From my Good friends at Transcend!

I have received the following Items

2 Set's of 2 x 1 GB DDR3-1600 aXeram TX1600KLU-2GK
1.8v 7-7-7-20 Specs
8-Layer PCB and Good ol Lifetime Warranty =)


WHAT DO I DO?!?!

Do I grab an i7 920, Foxconn Blood Rage and Never look back??

Or should I Grab a DDR3 775 Board and use all four Sticks?

They told me that they do not have a dedicated Tri Channel Package, but that these will work flawlessly on i7 in tri channel for 3gb.


What Do I do =?

If I Go i7, Foxconn Blood Rage I beilieve will be my choice.

looks like I will be going i7 =)

Now I just need to find me a place to buy the Foxconn Blood Rage, decide on a PSU, was thinking the Corsair 750 watt, case and if I want to do Vista or not.

Well if you decide on 775 get the UD3P/T for the ddr3 RAM. Also how do I go about being a tester LOL?

lol I very rarely ever get free gear for playing.

and yes this ram is for keeps.

Obviously the only downfall that i would run into, I kind of do not want to do the 775 DDR3 boards, mostly becuase I had set in my mind that if I built a 775 machine, that I would do eiterh 2x2 or 4x2 1066mhz ddr2 ram.

4 GB of ram is more important to me than the actual speed, as most of my gaming habits and backround activities would suggest this.

I think once I am able to find a way to by the foxconn board I will be a happy man =)

Plus if I went with DDR3 775, I would have 4x1 gb, and would end up wanting a 64 bit os. Dont knwo if i am ready for that or vista yet. I will post for views on what OS i should run i7 and 3x1 gb on.
