Hey guys,
Well as you can see from the title...I have a BIG problem. I recieved my TRUE in the post today and I have installed it but now my motherboard wont even POST. I spilt a bit of the supplied chill factor onto the motherboard during the install process and wiped it off with a paper towel and a very slightly damp cloth (sqeezed all the water I could out of it. ) I then proceeded to install the TRUE without any issues. I ensured the board was completely dry before installing into the case and plugging it in. I currently have the board out of the case with the TRUE off, I have tried changing graphics cards (still no output on known working cards), with RAM, without RAM, removing all non-essential parts (leaving just CPU, RAM and Graphics card). I have also tried reseating the CPU without success. I have made sure the power supply is working, the fan spins and its properly supplying power to all of the components. I also noticed what seems to be a leaking capacitor on the board toward the IO ports, seems a bit bulged at the top with a solid black substance sitting on top. I was just wondering if its my mobo/CPU's time to go or if theres any way to salvage it or trouble shoot this?

thermal paste.
Anyway I dont know if this will help any diagnosis but when i remove the graphics card it makes a long constant beep but other then that there are no beep codes to be heard.

Busted cap will do it, popcorn'in on top. You miiiiight be able to get the same cap and re-solder it on..but its a long shot.

Get a new capacitor and solder it on. That might be more trouble than it's worth though if you don't have a soldering iron, solder, and a new capacitor. You might want to update your motherboard to a Gigabyte P45-UD3P instead.

I do realise that, I dont happen to have any isoporpyl on hand, and i made sure that the board was dry before plugging it it, I have done this before without issue and i understand that there is a risk to using water on anything electrical but I'm unsure as to whether that or the thermal paste have anything to do with its odd behaviour now.
