Hi guys!
can you help me with a detailed setup for 8x450mhz? im currently running 9x400 with 1.5vcore CPU, LLC enabled and RAM multi of 2.5 with 2.1v. the rest is set to auto ive tried running 4x450 and a multi of 2.4 for 1080mhz but couldnt get them stable ... any fine voltage tuning that would help me stabilize them? i only changed timings and the voltage another thing, ive tried booting at 500mhz since this board is so famous but wouldnt even post ... i gave it up to 1.5v MCH ... am i doing something wrong?

you need to underclock your ram having a 200mhz+ overclock on your ram is alot even with loose timings run the memory at a 1:1 ratio I belive its the 2.0 memory divider. The memory is most likely the problem you should probably upgrade to some DDR2 1000 or 1066 memory

Set RAM at 1:1 like Redalert said, that is a 2.0 multi. Worry about getting Ram to stock or OC speeds later.
I would say you are overvolting! First off, take your voltages off auto and set them to default. This will probably cause instant instability but you really should OC without volts on auto. Then go back and start OCing from stock, up to 3.0Ghz should be no swet on stock volts and is a rather safe first jump for a Q6600. After that move a little slower, 10Mhz FSB at a time or so. If nothing else take PLL off auto because that board will over volt PLL by quite a bit (Bad for cpu!). I run stable at 3.6Ghz(400x9) Vcore 1.38125 CPU Termination 1.3 PLL 1.59 MCH 1.3 References as close to 67% as I can get, 67% of CPU term and MCH, so around .91 although I believe both are set in the high .8s (Except MCH/Dram on auto) ICH - Default - you will probably not needed any boost to SB while OCing a Q6600 DRAM 2.0 (As specified by my ram) All else on auto My volts will of course probably not work for you but may help guide you a bit. I ran default volts up to 3.0. I had to start upping a little vcore (Default vid on my chip was 1.275) to get to 3.2. Needed a little MCH and vcore for 3.4. And I needed a little PLL, MCH, and a good step up in Vcore for 3.6. Good luck and happy OCing!

because at 500mhz, with a 1:1 ratio i get 1000mhz which is rock solid ... i could get them up to 1050mhz stable with 2.1v and 5.6.6.18 and almost got them stable at 1080mhz with 6.6.6.22 and 2.16v but i would like to know if some fine voltage tuning would help in stabilizing them .. like ddr reference voltage and those things
