Ok I just purchased this board it is awesome but here is the deal with the overclocking that I have come across.
1. If your cpu is 800mhz then you can not use 800mhz ram it will not work I have tried. 2. So your cpu is 800mhz use 333mhz ram unbuffered at that and it will overclock very well. This is why I have a pentium D 2.8Ghz dule core 800mhz, I bought 4gigs of ddr2 pc6400 800mhz ram to go with my new motherboard. Well when I fired it up with the 4gigs in it the board would just keep posting and reseting itself, so I put just one 2 gig 800mhz in and it would post and go into windows xp and work but it would not overclock still. So I had some pc5300 ddr2 333mhz 4gigs, I installed that memory and it posted fine and loaded windows xp no problems. So then went it the bios settings to the overclocking made some minor changes in the setting there and bingo overclocked from 2.8 to 3.4 no problems posted right up and loaded windows xp stable.. Hope this helps |

quick note for me is that if your cpu is 800mhz bus then don't use 800mhz ram no headroom..
ddr2 pc-5300 and ddr2 pc-5400 works well with 800mhz cpu. ddr2 pc-6400 works well with 1066mhz and 1333mhz cpu. try this is you have 4gigs ddr2 pc2-5400 667 unbuffered and then go into the bios overclocking I bet it will overclock and be stable. |

Well this board has gotten me to 4.2GHz on my E5200 with my DDR2-800 Ballistix Ram so I am not sure what you are talking about with the ddr2-800 ram? Do you mean the dividers that set the ram speed?
