So I recently disabled all the Spread Spectrum options in my BIOS to improve stability... However it seems that whenever I do this (I've tried it before) my Logitech MX Revolution starts cutting out for small periods of time while gaming. When I'm just playing around in Windows there's no interruption, but when all the Spread Spectrum options are disabled I get cut outs in games...
So I'm just wondering if it's possible that the cause of these cut outs is the "Spread Spectrum" interference?

I ran Prime95 for 24 hours once with my 3.0 GHz OC... Does that count? I'm trying a 3.1 GHz OC right now, running Prime as I type.

Bump...
Anyone know if disabling Spread Spectrum on any devices can interfere with wireless accessories (i.e. my mouse)?

Yes, disabling spread spectrum can be detrimental to good reception of rf frequencies. The very use of spread spectrum is to vary cpu or pci-e frequency a little so that it doesn't interfere with radio frequencies.

Ah okay, exactly the answer I was looking for, thank you! I guess I'm going to have to grab a wired Razer mouse or something...

Or see if you can get a stable overclock with spread spectrum enabled. Some motherboards can overclock pretty good, even with spread spectrum enabled.

I don't have the option to enable Spread Spectrum on my CPU, but I'll re enable it on all of the other options and see what I come up with.
