Default Striker ii Extereme HELP!! stuck at DET DRAM

Hi all,

I've just upgraded my S2E bios to 1202 via asus update, everything went fine and it asked me to restart but upon restart on the post it just froze, so I pressed the cmos reset button, stopped on 'det dram', left it for a min, nothing. SO I pressed cmos reset again and now all it does it go from chip init to cpu init to det dram, beeps loudly and loops. I'm terrifyed as this is only 4 months old n after paying out £1600~ I cant afford to replace anything for a very long time!!!!

Thanks in advance!

I read somewhere about unpluggin it from the mains and THEN doing a cmos reset, haven't had chance to try it yet but will post again on the outcome

Update - Well that didn't work, 15mins unplugged from the mains, then held down the cmos reset for about 2 minutes - still stuck in a disturbingly ghostly loop

Update- still nothing, think all hope is lost. Heard a method involving asus flash but far too tired now so will try that in the mornining. Always knew this board was gonna kick the bucket sooner than expected, just want out now.

Looking into other boards now but most seem to support crossfire which is no good to me =/ any cheap but good overclockers? Was looking at an Asus (on the off chance they're all not as rubbish as the striker) or a Gigabyte, got to be DDR3 and LGA775 tho

Did you try 1 stick of RAM at a time? I had a stick of RAM go out on me. Try 1 and if that doesn't work try the other. Try different RAM slots also.
