Ok so after 4 faulty boards from gigabyte i've changed my bubbleless i7 builds motherboard to a ASUS Rampage Extreme II I set it all up and got to vista to only find it saw two of my three GTX280's. I have tried different drivers and I am currently about to ring ASUS about it. Has anybody got any ideas.
I know all three cards are good. The board does support tri-sli. The BIOS's option to change the PCI-E configuration is disabled? I am also running the Supreme FX Soundcard PCI-E.

1)Start by taking out the PCI-E supreme FX just to see if it resolves the problem.
2)Check that you have the latest bios / drivers installed. 3)Contact Asus about it

Yeah, 4 faulty gigabyte motherboards is unbelievable bad luck.
Btw: It's the Rampage II Extreme, not Rampage Extreme II.

If not, don't worry. Scan are great about Warranty and RMA, they are the Newegg of the UK.

Just finished playing around with different drivers and the new BIOS.
Hasn't made a difference, tried ringing ASUS but they just had a machine saying to goto the website and then hung up, tried scan but I couldnt get through to anyone so gonna try a graphics card in each slot soon. Just need to sort out for draining the loops. I have a feeling I've got another bad board

Try BIOS 1001. For me it seems like the most stable version. You sure you can't change the PCI-E lane to x8 x8 under NB configuration? The default is at x16 x1 so that might be your problem.

I was looking into Trip SLI myself...however I believe if you have the X1 Sound card in the first X1 Slot, you cannot do Trips SLI...Look in the ASUS Book that comes with the MB, I believe it explains that there...I can get 16x 16x X1 by default with Dual 260 GTX, and the X1 sound card installed.
