Hmm..maybe the P06 BIOS is my problem. Does P08 have any weird bugs or issues?

To truly stop it from downclocking under heavy load go into CPU features in BIOS and enable both Max current overides. Type in the max allowed - it's 32000ish.

Be forewarned: If you truly prevent it from downclocking itself under load your overclocks won't be as stable as high as you're used to them being. Overall performance is generally better if you can have high clocks for most non-intensive tasks, but the ability to downclock for stability under heavy load to prevent BSOD's.

Under the menu with HT, EIST, and such? I don't see that in there. Seems like I need to get the P08 BIOS.

Running at 185x21 @ 3.9 now and my voltage is at 1.23.
Im finally getting around to overclocking and running some benches so I have a few questions. I was to reduce my voltage, but I can only raise it. The actual voltage is locked in my BIOS and I can't highlight it.
For the voltage, you can't go lower than that because that is the minimum that is set by Intel as far as I know.

I've been running this board for about a week now on the P06 bios and I've been wondering is there any reason to upgrade to P08 or even the beta ones, like any extra features or improved stability or somthing :S ?

P08 lets you run turbo 24/7 for one. I'm sure there's other fixes as well.

No one told me. I figured it out myself. The multi will not stay at 21x with the P06. It would drop down lower at idle. With P08, it doesn't do that. Stays at 21x all the time.
