Finished soldering tonight so might get to try it tomorrow.
Finally found a nice 12W pencil soldering iron.

does anybody know how this board handles quad core cpus? i have a Q9650 right now, but although i am trying to trade for a E8500 or a good E8xxx cpu, i've been getting too many lowballing offers so i'm thinking about just keeping the quad. this board did well with the core 2 duos, so i figure it should handle quads well, too.
