Storm, dead PC...
Insurance claim perhaps!

"Storm killed my PC "
Not suggesting any scamming or anything... a friend went through the same problem...
Storm killed his TV, MB, RAM, and modem... got a new TV and replacement value of the whole PC too!

Another vote for the GA-EP45-UD3P. You'll probably have to redo your array, though.

Sucks about the storm. This is why a UPS is a wise investment.

Jerks!
They should still be responsible for the list price and labor, period!
Get three service estimates with the most expensive sites you can find.

Actually a UPS has hook-ups to route both cable and ethernet lines through it to help protect against that, too. There's also ports that hook up to the backup battery and ports that are purely a surge protector (for things that you don't want/need to hook up to backup battery). It's a wise investment when you're dealing with a bunch of expensive electronics. $2000 for a PC or HDTV, or $200 for a good UPS. I'm not trying to bust your balls, just trying to give out some advice. You've spent all this money on these expensive electronics, might as well take it one step further for a little added security.

Were all of these hooked up to power strips (surge protector)? Was it the same power strip? Surge protectors are only designed to protect against a couple of major energy spikes. After a couple major hits, the components inside blow to help keep large energy spikes at bay. After that, they're completely shorted with no added protection.

Hopefully your insurance won't keep messing around with you too much longer.
