Well yours will most likely vary, but for curiosities sakes, I had to use 1.44v

OK thanks. I appreciate your input. I'll probably run it linked after what tK FuRY showed me. I was just wondering if there were any drawbacks and apparently there are. Thanks again though. +rep to you too.

just run Everest memory benchmark and compare the results.

mine were @ 4.3ghz @1066 mhz ram , i got 9000,10000,7000 mb/s

then 4.3ghz @ 975 or so 1:1 divider, 11000,10000,9000 mb/s.

EDIT: By the way, those E8400 temps you have are unbelievable. Is that heatsink really THAT good?
Yeah sure, when run unlinked on a board with a Nvidia chipset and don´t use the well known Intel chipset DDR2 Memory Dividers like 1:1, 6:5, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, 8:5, 5:3, and 2:1 there´s is a sacrifice because Nvidia chipset hold more Memory Dividers then Intel chipset does and some are not good, performance wise.

On a board with Nvidia chipset divider 1:1 is very good but not that good on a board with Intel chipset, why, I don´t no in detail but Nvidia have found a way to bring down the MCH Read Delay (tRD) better then Intel.

On a board with Intel chipset on the other hand any divider other then 1:1 is better because one can run lower tRD on the other dividers (6:5, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, 8:5, 5:3, and 2:1) and Intel chipset just love high ram MHz.

Here´s some interesting articles about it, this one and this one.

Run the same clocks if linked or unlinked so why is running linked/unlinked an issue?

The squirrel said 1066Mhz vs 975Mhz. The squirrel has bad math. But unlinked you could use his 1:1 divider (ratio?). Then maybe tweak from there. Ask did he use the same timings? No he didn't.
Open your eyes? You trust a squirrel drinking a Guinness? To make clear you can
Consider?

No his results clearly point out that using a divider beats running unlinked (even if the RAM runs faster). Although I really don't know about the timings part so you have a point there. Personally it's not a problem for me if I run linked. I would actually prefer to even if there were no benefits just so I feel that the system is running in sync, not whacked out LOL. I was just wondering what the rules are with overclocking and running unlinked and since there doesn't really seem to be anything special I guess my question is answered.

Ill run a quick P95 Small FFT or you can go here

I know it's slighty off topic but can you do me a favor and run Intel Burn Test (Click Here) and show me your CPU temps with HWMonitor (Click Here).

Use "Maximum" setting for 5 passes.
