Awesome man. Can you do me one more favor? Run unlinked FSB at the same FSB you have for linked and then post the result. That'll be the true test.

OK well this makes much sense then. It's all about the ratio even if it's not taken into account. The further apart the clocks are the greater the latency. So yeah unlinked is technically the same thing as linked just "fine tuned" as said before. In that case, it's actually a very useful feature.

I don´t doubt your Everest but Nvidia chipset have some very bad dividers and 10:9 is one of them, so in this case run 1:1 is sure the best, and I think that for the OP he has no other choice the run 1:1, I don´t think his ram came go much higher and if compare with real applications the different isn´t that big.

So to do a better comparison you should back down to 475 and run a 1:1 (950MHz) and a 6:5 (~1140) and see what you get but then again you have a Nvidia chipset board and one shouldn´t compare Intel with Nvidia when it comes to bandwidth and latency.

That's why I'm glad that I'm trading my board for a 780i. Even though Intel is supposed to be better for OCing supposedly. (Especially the board I have now is like their best OCing board)
