better price, still P45 chipset, but will the 1066 memory standard hurt me using 800 Ram?
Go with that motherbaord. It will help you when you eventually put your E5200 in, for the P45 overclocks 45nm better than a P43 board. About the ram, it will not hurt you if you're using DDR2-800. It was just saying that it also supports DDR2-1066 and DDR2-1200.

However, it only has one PCI-E x-16 slot. There are other things besides graphics cards that use that type of slot. I would not go for a board that had less than two.

He should be fine. Unless he plans to add a raid card or a pci-E SSD x1s will be fine for sound/network cards.

If you only want one graphics card, a single pci-E x16 slot is fine.
