However, I jumped from 182.50 to 186.18 because 186.18 sounded like a really good one. 182.50 never gave me problems, and so far, neither is 186.18. But, what I'm thinking is that perhaps it's because you're using the 64-bit version of XP. I have heard more bad things about it than good things. But, I don't really know for sure what the problem could be. However, using a different NVIDIA driver - perhaps even a Beta version - might be the answer.

This is beginning to sound like it's over my head. I mean, if the CD is designed for the version of Windows you're using, then I don't know what else it could be. Maybe the disc is dirty or scratched. Or, perhaps the optical drive isn't working properly, or perhaps its laser lens needs cleaning using a standard laser lens cleaning kit (it's just a disc with a brush or two n it, and maybe includes a tiny bottle of cleaning solution to add to the little brushes). Or, it could be something else entirely that I'm just not getting because perhaps I haven't asked the right question(s) yet.

Well Two Cables ive narrowed it down to my video card. as long as i dont install any drivers for it it works fine?? You think my video card is bad?? I kinda need drivers for it to run games but if i install any it crashes my system or freezes it up. The card is new but that dont mean anything. What do you think??? I sure appreciate all your help.

So, if you've flashed the BIOS with the latest BIOS, and if you've used several of the latest versions of the driver, then it could be time to RMA it. But damn, I don't know what else it could be. And I wish more people were involved in this thread because I feel that this is a bit over my head.
