Default Help with sata cables

I need to buy some right angle sata connectors but i dont know if my mobo uses sata 1 or 2... whats the difference between the two and are the backward compatible?

Some quick research on your mobo shows you should be able to use any kind of SATA cable. If you look at your motherboard you can actually see the type it takes.

There is no difference at all between SATA 1 and SATA 2 cables, other than they might have a clip on them. Connection-wise and electrical-wise, they're both the same.

SATA II is faster, and is backwards compatible.

The interface that is, don't know about the cable.

Sata II is faster yes, but that has nothing to do with the cables, just with the drives
you can put any sata cable on it. no problem
