Anyone know why this suddenly popped up on newegg a little while ago?

If you look, you might find a Socket A motherboard too. Heck, TigerDirect still sells Ati Rage cards. Its not really that surprising.

Don't companies usually throw away or recycle old stuff after a discount sale?
