Best x48 Overclocker
I was wondering if i went x48 to accommodate a pair of dx11 cards, if there is a board that is similar in overclocking potential to the p5qp/ud3p.... i was looking to reach ~470fsb on my quad... thanks

If you're really set on getting a X48 mobo, the
Rampage Formula is recommended. Thread. Reviews: http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...mpage_formula/ http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...rd-review.html I suggest that you wait a bit longer and save up for an i7 rig though. The 775 socket will never be able to perform as good as a 1366.  *edit* The Foxconn runs on DDR3.

i recommend mine. has lots of BIOS tweaks fine tuning options for overclocking. i'm waiting for OCZ Vendetta to start :P

Ah! never thought about the ddr3, I have a few gigs of it kicking about so never thought.
for the price though you could buy it and a couple of makedo ddr3 sticks sell your old board and ram. Could come out costing you very little for the jump to ddr3 and have a great board to boot. Btw I wouldnt move to i7 with the processor you have the performance increase would only be noticeable in bench and recode.

i think im going to get the rampage formula. ZipZoomFly has it for $210, free shipping
and ofc comes w/ the soundcard. how much you think i could sell my p5q pro for? i takes a q9550 to 4ghz.... *EDIT with a $30 MIR too. so $180 after MIR
