The only way to overclock is through the FSB.

Have read with interest and a little concern the various goings on around this motherboard.
__________________Have been running it fine for quite a while with a non-clocked 640 CPU. Have Adata 800MHz memory (from what I remember it was quoted as 5-5-5-12). Bought a D920 then found out it didnt work in the mobo so swapped it for a D930. Seems to work fine at stock, but would like to see what it might do. Have flashed the bios with the latest Beta (0601). Could anyone enlighten me as to what settings to use as alternates to the "auto" settings in the bios. Eg Vcore (and what it is safe to go up to), Vmem (Adata info not easy to find) and the extra 5-5-5-12-x setting (no idea what the x should be). Not new to overclocking but have been out of the game for a bit so a leg-up would be appreciated. Cheers Paddy

I have been stable at 250 with no problems or high vcore. Ran prime for like 8 hours with no errors. Also, if you use memtest86 it is faster at detecting errors that will fail you in prime. From my experience, if there is a problem I always fail on test #3, usually on the "dfdf" test segment. If anyone knows a lot about changing latency timings it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

After much messing about, experimentation and frustration, I have managed to achieve the following. Posting to possibly helps others, since I wouldn't have been able to get past stock without reading forum.
__________________VCore = 1.4v Setting manual rather than (auto +100mV) - Auto wasn't as stable. Vmem = 1.85 (not changed from default) Timings for Adata 800MHz = 5-5-5-12-18 all set manually, 2T set manually Had to do this by first setting the mem manually to 667 (effectively underclocked) with the timings for above , shutting down and then manually selecting 800 next time round. - Got this tip from someone else on this forum - thanks. My Presler D930 is now running stable at 243 MHZ (seems a bit poor I know) or 3.63 GHz. Tempted to swap the board for a P5WD2-E Premium but will not get the benefit of SLi (and will have spare 512MB 6800GS). Open to any hints or tips to better the above.

The E-Premium will run 2 PCIe cards, not in full SLI like the board you have now, but you will still have the ability to use both cards. And of course, that 930 will skyrocket over 4Ghz with ease on an E-Premium.

I assume that in "using" both on an E-premium, I can only do so if I use them on seperate monitors rather than to render to a single display?
