I am having trouble with either my mobo or Windows Vista. I have only one thing connected to my USB right now and that is my mouse. It seems to be working. I keep getting this message over and over again, no matter what I do.
__________________![]() I keep getting random messages saying "USB Device Not Recognized" and it then tells me the drivers could not be installed. I initially thought it was my printer, so I removed it, but it is still giving me the same error. When I open the error message I get this. ![]() I have updated Windows, I uninstalled and reinstalled my NForce mobo drivers, and restarted several times. The problem will not go away. What the heck is happening?!?!! This is getting really annoying!! As I am typing this the USB Device Not Recognized message is popping up every 4 or 5 seconds! I am considering RMA'ing my motherboard.

I have my mouse, my printer, and now my headphones plugged in. I am still getting the original message, and it shows all of those devices as working, except port 5. I am trying to figure out what port 5 is so I can try it.
__________________Ok I found port 5 and plugged my mouse in and the mouse stopped working and the error message still showed up. It seems as though USB port 5 is dead. But, I don't use or need this port! How do I make this stupid message stop showing up? It is really making me mad. Should I RMA the motherboard? It was a step up board, so I do not know if I have a full warranty still.

I wouldn't really wanna pay shipping costs and go through all the hassle of replacing a board, just because a USB port that I don't use isn't working...
But the messages can get quite annoying. I'm pretty sure that there's a way to remove the messages somewhere in Windows... Search around inside the Control Panel.

Well according to EVGA's website my board is not eligible for any kind of RMA anyway. Apparently when you use their step up, you lose your lifetime warranty.
