So I was looking around on Newegg for an LGA1156 mobo with two x16 PCI-E slots.... I wasn't able to find one. Does 1156 only allow for 16 PCI-E lanes?

Running the cards in x8/x8 only will yield like a 2%-5% performance loss though according to many reviews

Nope. you'll need a 1366 board to run both lanes @ x16 eitherwise you get x8 on both lanes with the 1156

Thanks for your input. I'd have to agree that those nForce 200 boards are a waste of money because them with an i5 750 end up costing the same as a decent 1366 board with an i7 920... Then again, running at dual x8 doesn't sound TOO bad.

It's because the i5 CPUs have the PCIe lanes integrated onto the actual CPU. You're not going to get more unless there is some other chip (e.g. Lucid Hydra or NF200.)
