Default EVGA x58 SLI WONT Updated BIOS

Hello all, I have been running my EVGA X58 SLI mobo with a 920 i7 processor, GTX 285, 6 gig ram for the last 7 months. About 4 months ago i attempted to upgrade my bios to the latest one, but no matter what method i tried, it WILL NOT upgrade. It goes to the Dr. Dos update thing in the bios but then just sits there. I have let it sit for minutes and for hours, but it doesnt do anything. Recently this week i attempted to do it again. I tried burning the image off the website straight to an image disk then running it, and it gets all the way to the Dr. Dos thing and stops. Same with the floppy and same with the flash drive method. Will someone please help me, i am so close to writing off EVGA for good, because their customer service wasnt able to help me at all. Thanks for any advice.

Yup tried that, multiple times on multiple CD formats, and nothing works, it will never go past the Dr. Dos screen

Is there no utility in the BIOS to update from a ROM file or similar?
My Asus boards have that, and it works every time..
