Hey, I'm on an ASUS P5E Deluxe mobo and I can't boot from a USB Flash Drive. Not because there is something wrong with the Flash Drive, but because I just don't have the option. Anyone know How I can boot from the USB Flash Drive?
Thnx. EDIT: Also check this out if you feel like helping: http://www.overclock.net/mac/593042-guid.html

Press F8 while booting. That will pop up the boot device selection option. As for formating the HDD, use the GParted live CD (make sure for video to select "Versa"):

EDIT: Oh, Gparted will not let me reformat the drive to GUID anyways.

Thank you so much, and I appreciate your help. I'll either log back on in about 20 mins or a few hours (depending if my Dad has any work for me to do or not) and let you know if everything worked out.

Additionally, don't make two posts about the same thing, and don't double post.

eh, didn't work. I formatted the HDD to FAT32 and it erased all my data (including the OS). I tried to see if formatting it back would do anything (like I guessed, it did not).
I then tried to reinstall 10.5.2 Leopard, but for some reason, the disk could not be read: there are no scratches, I put the DVD back into it's case directly after my installation a few months ago. I guess I'm just going to try downloading 10.6.0 Snow Leopard again and try an install from their... when I buy a DVD large enough.
