The deals probably dead, but I've seen this deal happen twice so far. But I got my ASUS P6T from dell for 195$ after a coupon code, then 10% cashback bringing it down to $175 + free shipping. Take a look on slickdeals to see if its still around. Oh and if you do go this route, dont be deterred by the expected shipping date, mine said 1-2 weeks, but I actually got it 3 days after I placed my order.

the only thing that makes me nervous about foxconn is i've heard they're shutting down so theres no warranty with them.

Also, with regard to the p6t deluxe, I am pretty sure that the 3rd PCI slot is only 1x or you end up slitting one of the other pci slots so both run at 8x, might be a bit of a bottleneck if you have anything fairly new it it, dont know if this is the case with the p6t, but if it is I don't know if you would want to use the slot anyways

The SE board is almost identical to the P6T, with the exception of missing the SATA JMicron JMB322 controller and a missing floppy connector. The missing Jmicron controller limits it to only 6 SATA ports native to the ICH10R. The other drawback to the board is that it does not support SLI, only Crossfire. But you can cross flash the SE with the SLI capable P6T bios. Then just disable the floppy and Jmicron controller in bios and you now have a nice board with a decent OCing bios.

P6T specs from ASUS
P6T SE specs from ASUS

P6T SE showing the missing floppy and only 6 SATA

As for the PCI-E on the standard P6T and Deluxe, the PCI-E goes like this:
3 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (at x16/x16/x1 or x16/x8/x8 mode)

The SE is:
3 (@ x16/x16/x4 mode)

And now there is the P6TD Deluxe. It seems like a slightly upgraded Deluxe with a squeaky new first release bios. Perhaps more reliable? The only difference I can tell is this "Extreme Design" label.

P6T Deluxe vs P6T Deluxe V2

Why you should upgrade to V2:
- Removal of SAS controller

They made a new one, it's identical, costs the same, but they got rid of something?!

Way to go ASUS?

The main reason i would go for this board is the SAS controller!
