Okay, so let me start this thread off by saying that I have no problems with the other machines on my network. I've nailed my problem down to my ethernet.
__________________I have an XFX NForce 780i SLI mobo and lately I've been getting horrible lag in any game I play, normally with my ping hitting as high as 400 in a server where anything over 30 was abnormal. My other pcs are fine. I've tried enabling, disabling, I've googled until my fingers bled and I cannot find the solution to this problem. Normally I download well over 500 kb/s. I am lucky to get 250 kb/s and then the connection will sometimes randomly drop, or the speeds will decrease significantly. It seems as if the more load I put on it (multiple downloads or bittorrenting) the slower it goes. Reinstalling windows did nothing, neither did updating drivers/uninstalling drivers and going with older drivers. I've even tried letting it use the windows driver that installed on its own to no avail. I never had this problem until I upgraded my motherboard drivers to version 15.51, and have used driver sweeper to remove it and still no luck. Sorry for the wall of text, and I hope you guys can figure out what I'm saying. My head hurts I've been dealing with this crap almost since the day the 15.51 mobo drivers came out.

Have you tried using a discrete NIC? Or do you have none around the house?

Did you by chance flash your bios?

I've checked the power saving options and turned them off. As far as I could tell there werent any options for the ethernet port in my bios. Bios is updated to P08 or whatever was the most recent.
