So, you pulled out your old mobo and popped in the new one?

Did you get a chance to install the gigabyte mobo systems drivers before this happened or did the video problem happen after?

Are you getting any beep errors? I had a similar problem where it would sound like the computer was booting and I was not getting any video. However I would not even get the "System OK" single beep when the computer started. It ended up being that my BIOS needed an update.

Let me see if i got this right, you pulled old mobo ( asus ) and replaced with gigabyte? Its your chipset drivers! Do a clean install of OS and update with the newest gigabyte drivers.

I don't think it is even getting to post to get to the OS though... Correct me if I am wrong though OP.

But yeah either way a major change in hardware usually is going to need a OS reinstall.

Sorry my spare pc screwed up on me last night and could check on here.

There was no post or anything was the first couple of boots after installing the new board. I did get it to work. I had to pull 2GB of ram and use a 32 OS. Anyone knows why that is, it won't post with 6GB or ram?

I was also wondering if I could use the Asus Striker SupremeFX II sound card with my new board?

Try with 1 stick of ram. Oh, and I trust you have installed the gigabyte systems drivers....
