When i turn my computer on it starts to boot for a sec then turns off, and keeps doing it again and again. When i first installed this motherboard it happened, but after a few times round it booted, but now (2 days after) it just keeps going round and round and round.

Usually when it does that, it means you have an unstable overclock. It will probably work fine if you revert to default settings in the bios.
If it still does it, you may need to set the proper memory voltage first.

I've not overclocked with this board yet, my q6600 is at 2.4, and how would i go about setting the proper memory voltage when i can't even get into my bios ?

Try resetting the CMOS, or pull out the battery for a minute.

I had a similar problem and ended up having to use a 1.8V cheap memory stick to boot into the bios to change the settings. What ram are you using ie make, speed and suggested voltage?

I've just took the whole computer apart, reapplied thermal paste, took the battery out for a few minutes, and put it back together and still the same problem...
__________________The memory im using is 800Mhz speed ram, i dunno what make it is, but its only cheap i think (i got it with my computer originally) EDIT: the RAM is VDATA DDR2 800(5) 2GX16, whatever that means...

Is there any indication on the ram stick as to what voltage they are? Maybe a serial number or model number to look it up on google?

Got it on,

Good to hear. I know the feeling. I just finally got my rig running right again yesterday from a similar symptom. It would only restart 3 times though then not boot.
