Start by making sure your system is stable at stock. Run Prime 95 on blended for 10 hours and if it doesn't error, you're good.

Then move on to actually overclocking. This is done my raising the Front Side Bus speed, which is the system clock that the RAM, NB, and CPU speed is derived from. Run Prime again, if you pass 10 hours, good. If not, raise the CPU voltage.

Where is that in my BIOS though? I cant fine how to increase anything but the ram. What do I need to turn on or off? My bios is the CMOS Setup Utility.

I'm not sure about the XFX BIOS, but on my EVGA 750i, you had to go to Frequency/Voltage or possibly System Monitor to get into the guts of the overclocking settings. Could you post a pic of the main BIOS screen? That would help a lot.

Did you build this computer yourself or buy it pre-built? I'm not seeing any sub-menu that would get your to the overclocking settings. They could be there. I'm just not seeing them.

This computer was origionaly a Best Buy pre built with a E5200 and a 9600GT. But everything has been changed down to the hard drive. Overall I have spent way to much on the computer to get it to where I want and I wount be buying a pre-build ever again... In Cell menu though it says something about XFX overclocking but I cant change anything its just the ram and CPU voltages. I take some pics. One is from in the cell menu and another is from in the XFX Over clock function.

So you bought this from Best Buy, right? Is it is the same motherboard that came with the computer when you bought it? Who is the manufactereur of the computer?

I am asking this cause, usually OEM computers you buy from stores like that have the bios locked so you cannot overclock the systems. Only some high end Dell's are the ones that I know about that can overclock when made from one of the big companys.

EDIT: From the pictures, I think you may have to have a jumper on the motherboard placed for you unlock the area for you to change the FSB. Those are the voltages you need to change in order to stabilize your overclock in the second pic, but you need to find your FSB, which should be set @ 1333 as of right now according to your bios screenshot.

Okay all you have set so far is voltages.

To change the FSB enter the bios. Move to Frequency/Voltage control hit enter.

You'll then see FSB & Memory Config move to it and hit enter.

Then you will see FSB- Memory clock mode hit enter

You should see FSB - Memory Clock mode hit enter and unlink hit enter again (for now)

After you do this you will now be able to make changes to the FSB(QDR) MHz (it should show 1333)

Initially I would move in small steps. Run the FSB to 1350 and hit enter.

Move down to
MEM DDR MHz Manually set the appropriate memory speed 800 1066 etc. Actually i just saw you have 4 by 2 GB, for now I would actually set this one step down. If it should be 1066MHz I would use 800Mhz, that much memory can be a problem with an OC.

You should also see at the bottom of the page memory timing enter it and Manually set your timings for tCL, tRCP, tRp, tRAS and CMD according to your memory specs.

After you have done this then hit F10 and select yes, save settings.
