I'm looking at it right now. I might go with this setup at New Years, and retire the old Q6600. What IS the main difference between i7 and i5? Looks like the hyperthreading from the i7 is not in the i5.

Going from what I've read about the i5 on here, the i5 is just as well of an overclocker as the i7 and the performance difference is very slim.

OMG the GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2 [b]IS[/i] dirt cheap!! LOL
__________________Out of the 2 boards you named, Im assuming the gigabyte p55-ud4p is better? Is it 60$ better? I see it has a 2 oz copper pcb, but how big of a difference does that really make?? IS the ga-p55m-ud2 a good OC'er?

What is your budget? Do you want to be able to run SLI/Crossfire down the road?

Also FireryCOD - Check these links out http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...or-review.html http://www.guru3d.com/article/core-i...review-test/19 Good reads, and the i5 750 holds up very well against the i7 920. EDIT- Wait a sec, does the gigabyte ga-p55m-ud2 board even have 1 PCI express slot running at x16!?? Im confused by the newegg specs.
