Exclamation MSI eclipse plus IOH Help!

Hey I need help dealing with my IOH Temps, THey are around 85c with a 4.0GHz OC on my 920. Here is a link to some pics. http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=pr...0&prod_no=1795

From what I can tell the DrMOS top can not be removed.

Would taking the heatsink off and putting Arctic Silver 5 hep at all and would that void the warranty?

Lastly is there any hope for a water block?

If you can, i would take the heatsink off and check that it is making proper contact. Also i beleive the Dr.Mos thing is just held on with a sticky pad, you should be able to take it off with a knife.

Do you think it will help exposing the fins?

Well if you load the system up, how hot does the heatsink get? If it gets very hot then taking the cover will help.

How many voltages did You applied to IOH? 1.150v should be enough. Also if You want to put the AS5 on that, You should warm up the old paste if it's hard as rock, then remove it.

hey, ive just got some waterblocks from Duniek for my eclipse plus, had to send the board to poland for a few months to get them done, but im sure he will have saved the CAD drawings so if you ask him nicely he'll do some for you they were €60 euros i think.
havent tested them yet because ive had to RMA the board (unrelated mishap) so waterblocks are possible
