Beat me to it, that's the one you would want if you dead set on the E8600 and a future crossfire set up.

If you have the funds though, you could go with a something based off of the Core i7 LGA 1366. A mobo like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128375 some ddr3 ram and a Core i7 920. That would definitely be future proof for a while.

He said a P45 chip set and not Nvidia chip set. Intel chip set are Crossfire and Nvidia chip set are SLI. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.

What he said was:

"Also, Crossfire is open source, so any motherboard with two PCIe 2.0 x16 lanes will work wonderfully. Most motherboards don't advertise Crossfire support, because it goes without saying. SLI motherboards, however, have to be certified with the correct chipset."

I don't see anywhere where he references a P45 chip. If that were the case then yes you are correct. He was saying that any mobo with 2 PCIe 2.0 x16's would do xfire and that is incorrect.

Haha! Sorry, guys. I did not actually know that Crossfire doesn't work on NVIDIA chipsets but now I do. However, that Rampage the OP linked to will support Crossfire.

No problem, just didn't want the OP getting mixed up.
