Ok, first thing is then to setup your rig at stock speed but with manual settings.
The settings I am suggesting here are based on the manual I downloaded from Asus site. If what you have is different, please post pictures of all your available BIOS options, so I can suggest each setting.

At the top of this post I listed all of my bios options.

I had trouble making the boot for the mem test and I didn't see where to run the linpack test.

Here are the tests I ran with the manual settings you posted...

HWM (idle)

CPU-Z (idle)

HWM - Prime95 (small FFT 2hrs)

CPU-Z - Prime95 (small FFT 2hrs)

HWM - Prime95 (Blend 6hrs)

CPU-Z - Prime95 (Blend 6hrs)

HWM - Prime95 (Large Mem 2hrs)

CPU-Z - Prime95 (Large Mem 2hrs)

Good Job!.
I understand that Prime95 did not report any errors during these tests?

Linpack test is part of OCCT. (see attached, left side below CPU:OCCT). This test is the same as the "Intel Burn Test". It will heat up your CPU @ maximum. I use it only to test your cooling capacity.

Do you happen to know what is reported as AUXTIN? (79°C @idle). It seems quite hot... but it may be a misreported value. Maybe you want to try speedfan just to be on the safe side.

Your results:
- Your CPU temps look too high (72° C @ 1.22 Volts). i may recommend acquiring a better CPU cooler, or at least try reseat this same cooler.

After this, I recommend you make sure you have all your data backed. Once we start overclocking and before proving the system stable, there is a chance that system files can get corrupted.

And then, I suggest the following changes and then retest:

- FSB: 300
- CPU Speed 2.7 GHz
- DRAM Frequency: 752 (may not be available, but keep it below 800 MHz)

Don't change anything else. Just try with these settings.

If it don't want to boot with these settings, try reducing from 300 back to 266 (5 MHz at a time). You may need to clear your CMOS in order to be able to boot again.

Good luck and enjoy!

For Memtest, download the .iso file and burn it to a CD. It should boot directly into the tests.

I would not recommend overclocking this motherboard cuz i heard bad stuff about it and it looks like you need a better cooler if you wanna overclock well. Get a better motherboard, first thing!
