Well I sold the RMA'd Rage, and now I need to replace my client's mobo, which is not an easy feat, being they have 2 4870x2's, and all the good mobos in their price range ($245) only run SLI. Thanks so much EVGA. So to cut downtime I looked around on CL and found someone selling a MSI Eclipse mobo for $220 and of course the Foxconn Bloodrage (non GTI)
Which mobo would you choose, and why. Edit: Please keep the this discussion between these two mobos, unless you can offer me another great mobo at that price immediately.

I would choose the MSI Eclipse because it receives Maximumpc.com's endorsement and i respect their word. I also have had really good luck with msi and pretty bad luck with foxconn even though it looks like they are less generic than they used to be.

I seen some bad reviews on both. But I'd choose the Bloodrage because it is a proven overclocker and just a huge support base on forums and stuff.

I had the DFI X58 when it first came out. Biggest POS I've ever used.

Lets just say I never have had a board freeze in the bios before. Then when you tried to turn it off it would go crazy. Then when you want to get someone to help you from DFI tech support its easier talking to a wall.
DFI's tech support makes MSI's tech support look like gold.

Ya all X58's run CF and SLI.
Between those two, both are very good. I can't really give good reasons for both. I know the reviews for the Eclipse were very good, but the bloodrage has great reviews also. I mean Bloodrage is situational. The PCI-E slots are totally misplaced and the 3 RAM slots can bother some people, but it overclocks pretty well because of the slots and you are using X2 cards so the mis-managed PCI-E slots aren't an issue. The MSI Eclipse has Dr. Moss and 6 phase power I believe. Read a review about it, when I was salivating over the X58's about a year ago I would have been able to tell you more, but I can't recall all the facts now. I remember it was on my buy list, the Bloodrage was not because of the f-d PCI-E slots. Honestly if it is for a client, give him 3, 2 gig sticks of RAM and the Bloodrage, no reason for any more RAM than that and the Bloodrage looks sick. Your customer takes one look at that motherboard and he will be saying Wow!, especially with a Black or Red PSU, Red RAM and those 4870X2s are red and black (I assume they are) that would be wicked in a red or black case. I mean they are both good for boards, but since it is for a person who could care less (if you are building it for him) then definitely go for the bad ass black and red.
