Hi All, i currently have the following configuration:

Pentium D925 3.0 ghz
Intel DG965RY
XFX 8500 GT 1gb
2 gb corsait 667 mhz ram
500 gb seagate hdd

I would like to learn and practice overclocking. i feel i will definitely have to replace my motherboard. please advise.

That technology is so old (and slow) that even if you could overclock it to World record speeds (currently a little over 6 GHZ), a $300 dell would be faster. Save up some more $$$ and buy newer technology (that is overclockable).

Can you recommend the Motherboard and other configuration that I can upgarde to do some overclocking? I have looked at the following motherboards:

Gigabyte

G41M-ES2L
EP41-UD3L
EQ45M-S2

I also plan to replace the CPU to E7500. Please suggest.
