Default Overclocking my work pc mb/ram

ok i know this isnt the best pc around , its my work pc its mainly just for writing documents and printing but im a overclocker at heart i love overclocking. ok currently this comp is runing on a biostar p4m89-m7b motherboard and i have 2 sticks of pc2-5300(333mhz). in the bios i have it set to run by the spd which is automatically making it run at 266, now the cpu itself is a Core 2 duo E6400 revision B2 bus speed 266mhz, am i able to clock the ram to 333mhz and leave the cpu at 266 or is this the reason everytime i run the ram up to 333mhz the comp doesnt run right

and also will i get better peformance runing at 266:266 1:1 ration or if i run the cpu at 266:ram:333 with a different ratio, let me know

oh and the motherboard comes with about the least overclocking abilitys i have ever seen in my life. im seriously thinking of buying a new motherboard/cpu/ram set for my house just to bring in my cpu to work because i cant stand a slow piece of **** computer

sorry for to much info im just in the typing mood and got nothing to do
