First attempt at build and I need clarification in how to wire for front panel. I have an ASUS P5Q deluxe board that I want to put into an old Gateway case. The instructions for the mobo dont match the appearance of the wires on the case. 16 pins on case wires; 20 pins on mobo wires and I don't know what function the case wires perform, thus dont know where to hook them onto mobo connector. I have attached a link to pin-out diagrams of both connectors, so if someone could decipher, I would be most grateful!!! Something like, blue 3 to red 10, blue 14 to red 8, etc. I only need switch and light functions, not speaker connections.
Thanks much in advance!! http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...iagramcopy.jpg |

Assuming you plan to number your pinout on your motherboard the same way the diagram numbers the connector from the case, I would go this way...
Pin 11 on board to pin 6 on connector Pin 13 on board to pin 8 on connector Power switch Pin 17 on board to pin 5 on connector Pin 19 on board to pin 7 on connector Reset switch 1 to 1 3 to 3 This should work AFAIK
