I need to overclock the D925 CPU. What is the speed it is expected to touch with stable performance and what should these setting be? Most of my system specs are updated for reference.

Not much more if any with a stock cooler, if you have a good case, then maybe you can puch it to 4 GHz, but ONLY if you watch your temps close. Good Luck,

It is 63.4°C winch does not give you much head room on a stock intel CPU cooler.... I would suggest spending 20 bucks on a new CPU cooler

which cooler do you recommend? any specific brand? Also do i risk the chance of ruining the cpu, if i try to overclock with stock cooler. or does it have some auto cut of inbuilt that will protect it from burning out.

The Xigmatek S1283 is a GREAT cooler. I have my Q6600 running happily at 3.6GHz 1.47v
My idle temps are a jaw droping 29C with ambient at 22.6C! Max temps hit 68-70C
