Default Asus p6t deluxe v2 installing help

So im newbie to pc building this is my first one. So to install the mobo (asus p6t deluxe v2) in the case (antec 1200) i need to first screw the brass standoffs. Then to to put the mobo on it and to scew with philips-head screws. I got this but my question is do i put little red rings (usually when screwing something we do) to the screws? And do i put it into both ( brass standoffs and philips-head screws)? Ty in advance.

What little red rings? I have never used any red rings when installing a mobo. You just screw the standoffs into the motherboard tray, and the motherboard into the standoffs, then you are golden.

He is talking about the washers.

OP, they are designed to go between the screw head and the motherboard.

Just make sure you only put a standoff were there is a mounting hole on the board. if you have a standoff touching motherboard components, it will ground the board out and cause it not to work.

Ah, thats what I thought, Ive never had red ones though...for that case Ive never used the washers, most motherboards have a safety area around their screw holes that arent conductive or connected to important parts.

This is very true. Some cases come with them and some do not. If I have them during a build, I will use them. if I dont have them, I dont bother.
